A.W.A.S. Signs With OPEN GRAVE RECORDS

September 17, 2006

Open Grave Records has announced the signing of German death metal act A.W.A.S.

Formed in 1999 as TORMENT, A.W.A.S. played its first "real" show in Aarau (Swizerland) as support to SACRIFICIUM. The band's first offical demo "Time to Choose", followed in January 2003. During 2003-2005 the band had two songs released on the German "Deathophobia" sampler. They also underwent a few lineup changes before recording their debut album, "Hope", which was independently released in early 2006. A short time later, Open Grave Records took an interest in the band and signed them in order to give "Hope" a proper worldwide release. The CD will be issued in early 2007. In the meantime, you can download the track "Damned to Death" via the Open Grave Recordsweb site.
